Chateau Potensac Médoc 2003

Chateau Potensac Médoc 2003

SKU 17550

An elegant light style claret with ripe fruit flavors can be drunk while young. The wide and open landscape of the northern end of the Médoc, Potensac has long stood out as the finest property. It makes the most of a favorable location, but more importantly is owned and directly by one of Bordeaux's brilliant wine-making families-The Delons who also own Léoville Las Cases in Saint Julien.

Wine EnthusiastManaged by Jean-Hubert Delon of Léoville Las Cases, this is without equal in the Medoc appellation. It shows breeding, depth of flavor, beautifully crafted tannins and fine, rich fruit without the overripeness so characteristic of 2003. With its structure, acidity and delicious fruit, this will age as well as any wine from a more classy appellation.

Wine SpectatorVery pretty blackberry and currant aromas follow through to a full-bodied palate, with fine tannins and a silky finish. Nicely done. Best after 2009.
