Sonoma Loeb Private Reserve Chardonnay
Aromas: Pear, pineapple and ripe citrus are complimented by floral notes as well and nutmeg, cinnamon and toasted oak. Lemon custard and creamy malolactic notes make the wine enticing and rich. The nose is very concentrated and complex with French oak and bold Carneros fruit character bursting from the glass. Flavors: Thick, rich and creamy with fleshy ripe fruit. The acidity keeps this big wine in check so that the pallet remains long and rich without running out of tone in the finish. This wine will satisfy any lover of big, bold Chardonnays but doesn't miss a beat when it comes to balance and finesse. Food Pairing: Enjoy with poultry dishes, pork, halibut, shrimp, crab and scallops. Dishes with moderate cream and butter also make great partners. Cheese puffs, cheese soufflé, and Brie, Camembert and Gruyeres also match well.
