Made from close to equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, the 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée is the estate's special cuvée that's vinified in a mix of foudre, stainless steel, and concrete tanks. It offers textbook notes of black raspberry, garrigue, cured meats, and spice, as well as medium to full-bodied richness, solid purity, nicely integrated acidity and outstanding length. This cuvée spent 12 months in older barrels and is a smoking good red to enjoy anytime over the coming decade.

Almost as good as the Grand Vin is the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Reservee, a blend of 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 30% Mourvèdre. Aged exclusively in older barrels, it shows distinct floral notes, plenty of red cherries and a fine balance between freshness and ripeness. It finishes silky and long, with just a touch of enlivening fresh herbs.
